Beet Sugar Production Process

From raw beet to refined white sugar — a fully integrated seven-stage process.

1. Raw Beet Reception & Cleaning

Efficient mechanical feeding, dry/wet conveying, weeding and stone removal eliminate impurities without damaging raw beets, ensuring minimal sugar loss from the start.

2. Slicing into Cossettes

Beets are sliced into high-quality cossettes (shreds) that maximize surface area for efficient juice extraction in the diffusion stage.

3. Diffusion Extraction

Continuous countercurrent diffusion towers extract sugar juice using heated water, maximizing juice concentration while minimizing sucrose loss.

4. Juice Purification (Clarification)

Advanced lime-carbonation (primary and secondary saturation) with high-precision filtration removes non-sugar impurities, yielding a clear, pure juice.

5. Evaporation & Concentration

A highly efficient five-effect (or multi-effect) evaporation system concentrates thin juice into thick syrup while recycling thermal energy.

6. Vacuum Crystallization & Boiling

Inside stainless steel vacuum pans, the syrup is boiled and seeded under strictly controlled conditions to grow high-purity sugar crystals.

7. Centrifugation & Sugar Separation

High-speed centrifuges separate pure white sugar crystals from residual molasses, completing the sucrose recovery.

8. Drying, Cooling & Screening

The wet sugar is thoroughly dried, cooled and screened to meet international food-grade standards for white granulated sugar.

9. Automated Packaging & Storage

Fully automated, hygienic weighing, packaging and palletizing systems prepare the final white granulated sugar for bulk storage or retail distribution.
